What makes the Environment Superior

Since publishing  ES – a new standard in plans and planning
I have received numerous questions via Email at info@drummondhouseplans.com  concerning our new,
Environmentally Superior approach.

The following is a summary of answers to the most asked questions about what makes the Environment Superior

The main characteristics of the ES approach are…

The addition of implantation details to the plan which include optimal orientation of the home, rain water management details, and geographically appropriate tips for the planting of trees and other vegetation that help the owner take advantage of the existing climate to reduce the cost of heating and cooling the home.

Strategic placement of doors and windows that will not only take advantage of panoramic views but recommend optimal percentages for the most efficient use of energy.

Interior is also important when considering what makes the Environment Superior… to enhance aging in place the hallways have been designed wider, many components can be re-arranged for accessibility enhancement and the main living areas are all on the same floor to permit ease of access even if mobility becomes an issue.

An environmentally responsible approach is used from the beginning by providing on site recycling facilities to be used by the contractor during the actual building of the home. The ecological footprint is reduced through the choice of responsible construction materials and alternatives as well as tips for choosing the most environmentally conscious professionals for your project.

Tips on choosing the most efficient heating, cooling, plumbing and electrical components and appliances.

Please feel free to comment or to send me an Email, I look forward to hearing from you!
