Cottage remains popular

Having evolved from the original design of plan 2759, this model version for the plan of a cottage remains popular and integrates a much requested modification with the addition of the timeless appeal of brick in front, thus offering a stock plan in conformance with the demands of certain municipalities in which a stone or brick front is a requirement.

This change enhances the look of the original while keeping the original curb appeal, with a beautiful porch that has the wide steps and double doors that give this model its welcoming feel. Inside, the large foyer complete with generous closet space is a practical feature that is so popular with today’s families.

The main floor opens onto a well thought out kitchen complete with a large pantry, central kitchen island and a beautiful dining room that shares a cozy and inviting fireplace with the living room. A lovely home office space, that can be converted to another bedroom if the need arises, and separate laundry area complete the features of this level.

Upstairs, the bedrooms are of a comfortable size, the smallest of which is 10’ x 11’. Although a corner shower is suggested for the bathroom, there is enough room to accommodate a pedestal bath if that’s more appealing.
