First admired for its distinctive curb appeal, plan 3222 offers an equally impressive interior.

Outside, the double cornices, raised moldings and stone-brick offer visual diversion from the volume to give this home its remarkable cachet. The strategic placement of windows and doors enhances the natural light that penetrates inside. One look at the double doors to the patio and the ample fenestration of the exquisite family room, overlooking the back yard, will convince you of the bright and beautiful living space within.

Beyond the entrance foyer, the surprisingly well organized kitchen is bathed in natural light from the double windows of the breakfast nook. The central island adds to the livability of the kitchen area which opens onto a dining room situated in the center of the home. The enchantment continues upon entering the comfortable living room with its cozy fireplace tucked in between the two duos of doors to the garden. The well appointed bathroom and two generously sized bedrooms, each with ample closet space along with a garage that is accessible from inside the home or from the outside complete the features offered by this exquisite plan.

Inspired by the popular plan 3133, this version is particularly suited to those for whom the convenience of having everything on the same level, whether due to advanced age or other considerations, takes precedence over the number of bedrooms required.

The three bedrooms of the original plan become two as the third is replaced with a laundry/utility room in which a large counter complete with sink and place for a separate freezer are practical features that are sure to be appreciated by the occupants.

Naturally, this “baby boomer” approach includes the addition of a nicely sized garage that has service entrances in the front and rear with direct access to the basement. The 100 square feet added to the main level enhances the comfort and size of the rooms including an open, well fenestrated activities area complete with a fireplace in the center. Another wonderful feature of this plan is the abundant storage space and kitchen island. There is a practical, double vanity in a bathroom that boasts a separate, corner tub an a 3′ x 6′ shower enclosure.

A well considered choice for homeowners who know what they want!

It’s not your imagination playing tricks on you if you remember seeing plan 2163 built in a neighborhood nearby for this design created quite a sensation. Here is a version that gives you even more to love!

Outside, the curb appeal has changed somewhat by adding stone throughout the left side and at the bottom in the middle and on the right for an even more distinctive cachet.

Inside, the entrance foyer is flanked by a closet along its full length and the open activities area, organized around a central fireplace, enjoys an abundance of natural light through a beautiful bay window. The angled kitchen adds a dynamic feeling to this original design.

Two generously sized bedrooms offer ample storage space and the well appointed bathroom has a separate bath and space for a large shower enclosure.

With its sloping roof, shuttered windows and covered porch along two sides, plan 3108 can easily be defined as “country”.

The interior layout is synonymous with this style and the foyer at the main entrance will no doubt be practical to keep out the cold during winter months. The separate laundry area at the service entrance, just off of the kitchen, maintains the country feeling of this floor plan. The central island in the kitchen is the perfect place for casual meals and the dining area is adjacent to triple patio doors with a view on the back yard.

The main activities area is bathed in natural light from windows on two sides and the comfortable bedrooms have ample closet space. The bathroom is complete with separate corner bath and shower.

The fake window “upstairs” gives the feeling that there is a second floor, a possibility that our modifications team would be happy to quote on as we can adapt this or any of our plans to suit your particular needs and lifestyle.

Originating from the very popular 2185 model, 2185-V2 is enhanced with two extra feet of depth and three feet added to the living room to bring it into perfect alignment with the left side which allows a certain cost reduction for this amount of windowed space.

Inside, the enlargement has created enough space for a 15’ x almost 17’ kitchen/living/dining area which is 14’ deep instead of the original 12’ depth. The master bedroom too enjoys an increase in size from 12’ x 14’ to 14’ x 14’ with an enlarged, walk-in closet and the size of the shower in the adjoining bathroom has been increased to 42” x 54”. The two secondary bedrooms are also slightly larger.

Plan 2185-V1 is another version with larger secondary bedrooms due to an increase in depth of 6’ from the original plan.

The choice is yours!

Inspired by plan 3133, this version offers a contemporary approach with 45 sq. ft. added to the main level that enhances the natural light to the enlarged basement.

Similar to the original, plan 3133-V3 offers an unusually large closet in the foyer and an open activities area that bathes the living and dining rooms in natural light from the abundant windows. The kitchen is complete with a practical 3’ x 7’ island. Three comfortably sized bedrooms, including a 13’ x 11’ master bedroom with walk-in closet and a well appointed bathroom that has room for a double vanity, 6’ bath and separate 3’ x 5’ shower complete this delightful floor plan.

It takes more than cottages to answer to the needs of today’s ‘baby boomers’ and Drummond House Plans is pleased to offer this plan among our many single storey models that aims to answer their specific needs.

With its 1,276 sq. ft of living space on the main floor, a 360 sq. ft., garage and materials such as brick-stone and imitation cedar shingles finishing its classic exterior, this bungalow will meet the occupants’ aging in place needs.

The entrance foyer is surprisingly roomy. The brightly lit family area in front and the master bedroom have been strategically designed with the windows placed for ease in arranging the pieces of furniture within.

The layout includes an open activities area, kitchen with island and well fenestrated dining  room that includes a triple patio door to the garden. There is a separate laundry area and a second bedroom, which can be used as a home office, and a well appointed bathroom with both corner bath and a corner shower.

The garage is accessible from the inside or outside and could easily be enlarged if required.

Inspired by the popular 3281 model, this version is even roomier with its 9’ ceiling throughout the main level and 2 additional feet of depth to create a home that measures 38’ wide x 50’ deep with a 14’ x 21’ garage.
