Plan of the Week: “Perfect Porch Promenade!”

Plan of the Week: “Perfect Porch Promenade!” - Plan # 3825 - The Madeline 5 – Plan # 3825 – The Madeline 5

A perfect porch wraps two sides of this country-style home. Ideally sited with the porch facing forward, receive guests at the side entry in the dramatically vaulted foyer with enchanting wrapped staircase. A generous living room shares a two-sided fireplace with the dining area. An adjoining den/study provides some private space or step out front to enjoy that perfect porch. Beyond the dining room, the kitchen enjoys backyard views and easy access to a grilling deck.

Upstairs discover a very comfortable master suite with walk-in closet and private bathroom. Two additional bedrooms share a hall bathroom and all the bedrooms have easy access to a laundry. A bonus room over the garage is available to finish as desired.

The side-loading garage of this home is discreetly located at the back of the house making this a perfect design for a wide lot with a sweeping drive or a corner lot.

No matter where you build this house, it is sure to be admired.

Great design! Porches are classic. A swinging bench or a personal rocking chair by the porch would seal the deal. A plan worth building in the countryside of town. Thank you for sharing.

Thanks for your kind words Jessica! Porch swing or rocking chair… hmmm… I’m a bit partial to porch swings. They work well for all stages of family or for a summer nap. Stay tuned for more models. We have plenty that feature front porches, back porches and full wraparounds!
